Peter Bridges

Peter Bridges graduated from the University of St Andrews in 1969 and joined Roan Selection Trust in Zambia (later Roan Consolidated Mines). He worked initially as a field exploration geologist, later changing to mine geology and gaining experience at a wide variety of open-pit and underground mining operations.

He left Zambia in 1976 to undertake post-graduate studies in mineral exploration at Imperial College, London graduating in 1977 with a Master of Science and a Diploma of Imperial College in Mineral Exploration.

In 1977 Peter joined the world-wide geological consulting company Robertson Research International Limited ("RRI") holding various positions in its Minerals Division, from Senior Geologist to General Manager and Minerals Consultant. He has covered many commodities in many countries.

In 1988 he joined Greenwich Resources plc as Exploration Manager, was appointed Exploration Director in July 1991, and Chief Executive in November 2002.

Peter left Greenwich in April 2006 to set up Catalina Resources PLC - a UK-based company with interests in mineral exploration and development in Chile.

He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, a Fellow of the Institute on Mining, Metals and Materials, a Chartered Engineer, a Euro Engineer and a Chartered Geologist.

Andrew Shaw

Andrew Shaw graduated with Special Honours in Geology from the University of Hull in 1975 and joined the British Geological Survey in 1976 working in the Scottish office and subsequently the Overseas Division in Bolivia on mineral reconnaissance projects until 1987.

In 1988 Andrew joined Greenwich Resources plc and worked as Operations Manager for the group's activities in South America. He was responsible for the discovery of shear-zone hosted auriferous quartz vein resources in Venezuela.

In 1995 he headed the group's exploration and development activities in Europe (Czech Republic, Balkans, Greece and Spain). This included a re-evaluation of the geology of the Sappes area which led to the discovery and evaluation of the Viper gold copper orebody.

Andrew left Greenwich in April 2006 to set up Catalina Resources PLC - a UK-based company with interests in mineral exploration and development in Chile. He is responsible for project selection, acquisition and subsequent exploration.

Ceri Phipps

Ceri Phipps graduated from King's College, London in 1985 with an honours degree in geology. He spent a year as a junior geologist with TMOC Resources, an oil exploration and production company based in Australia, before returning to the UK for a brief spell in the City in private client stock broking.

In 1987 he joined Atahualpa Mining, a gold exploration company based in Ecuador which was acquired by Greenwich Resources plc in 1988.

Ceri returned to the UK in 1990 and entered the newly emerging European gas and electricity markets, initially with Powergen plc and then Scottish Hydroelectric and Scottish and Southern Energy plc. He has held various roles within the industry concentrating mainly on risk management and energy trading, both physical and derivative. At his time of leaving the industry in 1999, he ran the physicals desk for Scottish and Southern Energy plc.

Ceri left the power industry in 1999 to join his family business; Phipps & Company limited, which has a diverse portfolio of businesses interests. Ceri holds a number of non-executive roles within the Phipps & company group as well as acting in an executive capacity at JBR Recovery limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary specialising in precious metals recovery and refining.

Company Secretary

William Hampton

William Hampton, who was admitted to Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1982, joined Catalina as Financial Accountant in 2007. Between 1992 and 2007 he was Company Secretary at London Stock Exchange-listed Scarborough Minerals plc (formerly Greenwich Resources plc until its takeover by Scarborough in 2006). Prior to that William held various senior financial and company secretarial positions with UK companies and has gained, over a period of more than 45 years, broad financial experience within the minerals, electronics, services, construction, aviation, food manufacturing and engineering sectors.
